What makes this a UPS, not just a power station?

Most portable power stations take 20–30ms to switch when power cuts — long enough to crash a desktop PC or restart a router. The Challenger Pro switches in 10 milliseconds. To your laptop, TV, router, or desktop: the power never went off.

Why not a cheaper backup?
Most budget UPS systems only power a single device for 30–60 minutes. The Challenger Pro powers your entire setup — TV, WiFi, laptop, lights — for hours. It recharges in under 2 hours and handles partial charging far better than standard lithium-ion batteries.

Perfect for

✓  Loadshedding backup — keeps your home running through every stage
✓  Working from home without interruptions or lost progress
✓  Camping, overlanding, and off-grid adventures
✓  Emergency power during extended outages
✓  Small offices and remote work setups

Take it anywhere
Unlike fixed UPS systems, the Challenger Pro is fully portable. Move it from your lounge to your office, take it on a camping trip, or keep it ready for emergencies — one unit that covers home and off-grid use.

Why you'll love it

1120Wh LiFePO4 — serious capacity that lasts — 1120 watt-hours is enough to run a laptop for 17 hours, a 42" TV for nearly 9 hours, or power a full evening of loadshedding for the whole household. LiFePO4 chemistry handles partial charging far better than standard lithium-ion, is rated for 2,000 full charge cycles, and carries a significantly lower risk of thermal runaway than standard lithium-ion — no fumes, safe to run indoors.
1000W pure sine wave — runs sensitive electronics properly — pure sine wave is the same quality of power that comes from the wall. Required for televisions, laptops, desktop PCs, CPAP machines, and sensitive appliances. At 1000W rated output (2× SA plugs), you can run your TV, router, laptop, and lights simultaneously without a power strip.
Recharges in under 2 hours from a wall socket — standard power stations at this capacity take 5–8 hours to charge. The Challenger Pro refills in 1.8 hours from a wall socket. Loadshedding ends at 10pm, starts again at midnight — fully recharged before the next stage. It's a practical daily appliance, not just an emergency backup.
11 output ports — charges everything at once — 2× 230V SA three-prong plugs, 1× USB-C PD 100W, 2× USB-C PD 30W, 1× USB-A QC 3.0, 2× USB-A 2.0, 1× car socket 12V/10A, 2× DC5521 12V/10A. Multiple devices charge simultaneously — no swapping, no power strips needed.
Three ways to charge — wall, car, or solar — plug into a wall socket (800W, 1.8hrs), connect to your car's 12V socket, or hook up a solar panel (11V–50V, up to 300W via DC input). Solar charging makes it genuinely off-grid capable for camping, overlanding, or extended outages. All three input methods work independently.
Built-in LED flashlight — practical when power is out — the integrated LED flashlight activates at the press of a button. When the grid is down and your home is dark, having a reliable light source built into your power station means one less thing to look for. Useful at home, essential on a camping trip.

Estimated run times

Note: High-power appliances like kettles (2000W+), heaters, and hair dryers exceed the 1000W limit and cannot be run from this unit.

Washing machine 400W 2.2 hrs
Microwave 800W 1.1 hrs
Router + laptop + 3 LED lights* ~130W ~7.5 hrs

Quick estimate: Runtime ≈ 1120Wh ÷ total watts used. Example: 200W setup = ±5.5 hours. *Combined estimate for typical loadshedding use.

Frequently asked questions

Will it run my whole home setup during loadshedding?

For a typical loadshedding setup — fibre router (15–20W), 42" TV (100W), laptop (50W), and 3 LED lights (~30W) — your combined draw is around 200W. At that rate, the Challenger Pro gives you approximately 5.5 hours of runtime. Stage 6 (up to 6 hours) is within reach if you run it lean. For shorter stages the capacity is more than enough.

Can I use it while it's charging?

Yes — this is exactly how UPS mode works. Keep the Challenger Pro plugged in permanently with your devices connected. When loadshedding hits, it switches to battery in 10ms. When power returns, it recharges automatically while continuing to power everything connected to it. No manual switching required.

What solar panel do I need?

Any third-party solar panel outputting between 11V and 50V with a maximum of 300W will work. A 200W panel in good sunlight will charge the Challenger Pro in approximately 6–7 hours. The DC input connector is required — check compatibility with your panel before purchasing.

Is it safe indoors? Does it produce fumes?

Completely safe indoors. Zero emissions — no fumes, no exhaust. LiFePO4 is the safest lithium chemistry, with no risk of thermal runaway under normal use. Run it in your bedroom, lounge, or home office with no ventilation concerns.

What's the maximum wattage I can run at once?

The maximum concurrent rated output is 1000W across all ports combined. Before connecting any appliance, check its watt draw — the label is usually on the back or base. High-draw appliances like hair dryers (1500W+), kettles (1200W+), and air conditioners will exceed the 1000W limit. Laptops, TVs, routers, lights, phone chargers, and small fans are all well within range.

How long does delivery take?
