The Router UPS That Powers Your CCTV and VoIP Too — Via PoE.

✔ ONU running for 21.6 hours  ·  ✔ Router running for 6.5 hours  ·  ✔ CCTV and VoIP via Gigabit PoE  ·  ✔ Solar input

Best for: Homes or small businesses running WiFi + CCTV + VoIP during loadshedding.

No dropped calls. No blind spots in your security. No restarting your network every time Eskom flips the switch. One unit keeps your router, ONU, CCTV, and VoIP phone running — automatically.

65Wh · 60W · ONU 21.6hrs · Router 6.5hrs · Gigabit PoE · Solar input · Full cable kit

⚠ High demand during loadshedding — frequently sells out

Most router UPS products keep your WiFi on. The 60W Mini DC keeps your entire network infrastructure running — router, ONU, CCTV cameras, and VoIP phones — through a Gigabit PoE port that eliminates the need for separate power adapters on your cameras and IP phones.

Trusted by South Africans working from home, running home security systems, and keeping business networks online during loadshedding.

✦  ONU: 21.6hrs runtime  ·  ✦  Router: 6.5hrs  ·  ✦  Gigabit PoE for CCTV & VoIP  ·  ✦  60W output · Solar input · Full cable kit included

What is Gigabit PoE and why does it matter?

PoE (Power over Ethernet) delivers both data and power through a single ethernet cable. Connect your CCTV camera or VoIP phone to the PoE port on the 60W Mini DC and it receives backup power automatically — no separate power adapter, no second cable. When loadshedding hits, your security cameras keep recording and your IP phone keeps ringing.

Real-world example: When loadshedding hits at night, your WiFi stays on, your cameras keep recording, and your VoIP line stays active — all without switching a single cable.

Why upgrade from a basic router UPS?
Entry-level router UPS products keep your WiFi on but leave your CCTV cameras dark and your VoIP phones silent. At 60W output with PoE, the 60W Mini DC covers your entire network in one device — router, ONU, cameras, and phones — all from a single installation.

Quick compatibility check

✔ Your router/ONU uses 9V or 12V DC input
✔ Your CCTV cameras or VoIP phone accept 4-pair PoE (802.3af/at standard)
✔ Total combined draw of all devices is under 60W

If yes — this UPS will power your full network setup.

Not the right fit if

✗ You only need to power a single router — the Surf Simple is a better, more affordable fit
✗ Your devices exceed 60W combined draw
✗ Your CCTV or VoIP devices do not support PoE (802.3af/at)

Perfect for

✓  Full home network backup — router, ONU, CCTV, and VoIP in one
✓  Home security systems that need cameras on during power cuts
✓  Small businesses with IP phone systems
✓  Work-from-home setups with video calls and security
✓  Anyone who needs 20+ hours of ONU backup

Why you'll love it

21.6 hours on an ONU — nearly a full day — a fibre ONU draws approximately 3W. At that load, the 65Wh battery delivers 21.6 hours of continuous runtime. Even with two back-to-back Stage 6 blocks (12 hours total), you're barely halfway through the battery's capacity. Your fibre connection stays live through virtually any loadshedding scenario.
Gigabit PoE — powers CCTV cameras and VoIP phones via ethernet — the 24/48V PoE port delivers up to 0.4A over a standard ethernet cable. Connect a PoE-compatible CCTV camera or IP phone directly — no power adapter, no second socket needed. Your security cameras keep recording and your business phone keeps working the moment loadshedding hits. Note: requires 4-pair PoE compatibility — check your device manual.
60W output — powers your entire network, not just one device — run your ONU, router, CCTV camera, and VoIP phone simultaneously within the 60W combined limit. The selectable 9V/12V port handles the primary router, the 4× 12V/5A ports power additional devices, and the dual USB ports charge phones and tablets.
Solar input — recharges off-grid when needed — the solar input port (2A) means you can recharge the UPS from a solar panel during extended outages or when wall power isn't available. The only router UPS in the ALLUSTRA range with solar charging capability.
Full cable kit included — ready to connect immediately — 2× DC power cables, a splitter cable, and three DC adapter tips (5.5×2.1mm, 4×1.7mm, 3.5×1.35mm) cover the most common router and networking device connectors used in South Africa. Unlike some router UPS products, no separate cable purchase is needed.

Estimated run times

Important: Total combined draw of all connected devices must not exceed 60W. Always match device voltage to the correct output port before switching on.

Device Draw Runtime
Fibre ONU 3W 21.6 hrs
WiFi router 10W 6.5 hrs
CCTV camera (via PoE) 10W 6.5 hrs
VoIP phone (via PoE) 7W 9.3 hrs
ONU + router + 1 CCTV* ~23W ~2.8 hrs

Quick estimate: Runtime ≈ 65Wh ÷ total watts used. *Combined estimate — actual runtime varies by device.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PoE port work with my CCTV cameras?

The PoE port uses 4-pair PoE (pins 1,2+; 3,6- and 4,5+; 7,8-). Most modern PoE IP cameras and VoIP phones support this standard (802.3af/at). However, some older or budget devices only support 2-pair PoE (pins 4,5+ and 7,8- only). Check your camera or phone's manual before connecting — using the wrong PoE standard can cause the device to not power on or function incorrectly. If unsure, look for "IEEE 802.3af" or "802.3at" compliance on your device's spec sheet.

Can I connect my router and ONU at the same time?

Yes — a typical ONU (3W) and router (10W) together draw around 13W, well within the 60W combined limit. Use the selectable 9V/12V port for your router and a 12V fixed port for your ONU. The splitter cable in the box lets you run two devices from the same port if needed, provided they use the same voltage.

Is it safe to leave plugged in permanently?

Yes — the 60W Mini DC is designed for always-on UPS installation. The onboard protection circuit manages over-charge to maintain the battery safely during continuous charging. Plug it in, connect your devices, and leave it. It switches to battery automatically when power cuts and recharges automatically when it returns.
