Ceramic burr · Adjustable coarseness · LED light · One-handed · 230g · Battery powered

Freshly ground pepper, salt, and spices at the press of a button — one-handed, with a built-in LED that lights up whatever you're seasoning. Coarseness adjusts with a single twist from fine to coarse. The grinder you'll actually use every day.

✦  Adjustable coarseness knob  ·  ✦  One-handed press-and-hold  ·  ✦  Built-in LED light  ·  ✦  Ceramic burr · Transparent chamber · 230g

Why you'll love it

Adjustable coarseness — one knob, infinite range — turn the adjustment knob clockwise for a fine grind, counterclockwise for coarse. Everything in between is available at any point. Fine grind for table pepper on pasta, medium for rubs and marinades, coarse for cracked pepper on steak at the braai. No settings to remember — just twist to where you want it and go.
One-handed operation — press, hold, grind, release — the button is on the top or side of the grinder; press and hold to grind, release to stop. Your other hand stays free for the pan handle, the serving spoon, or steadying the plate. No cranking, no twisting with both hands, no putting anything down.
Built-in LED — lights up the food while you season — the LED automatically activates when you press the button, illuminating the food below. Useful in a dark kitchen, essential at a night braai, and genuinely helpful any time you want to see how much you're grinding rather than guessing.
Ceramic burr — sharper, rust-proof, no metallic taste — ceramic grinding elements stay sharper for longer than steel, never rust from moisture contact with spices, and don't impart any metallic flavour to what you're grinding. The right material for a spice grinder that will be used with salt, wet spices, and aromatic herbs over years.
Transparent chamber — see fill level at a glance — the clear ABS chamber lets you see how much spice is left without unscrewing anything. Refill before you run out mid-cook; no surprises when you reach for it at the table.
Battery powered and cord-free — works anywhere — no plug, no cable to manage. Use it in the kitchen, at the braai, on the patio table, or pack it for a camping trip or picnic. At 230g it's light enough to use one-handed for extended cooking sessions without fatigue.

Frequently asked questions

What batteries does it take, and are they included?

The grinder is battery powered — [insert battery type, e.g. 4 × AAA]. Batteries are not included.

Can it grind salt as well as pepper?

Yes — the ceramic burr handles both salt and pepper, as well as cumin, coriander, dried chilli, mixed peppercorns, and other solid dried spices. Avoid wet or oily spices (like fresh garlic or wet herbs) as these can clog the mechanism. Stick to dry, solid spices for best results and longest life.

Why ceramic instead of steel?

Ceramic burrs don't rust when they come into contact with salt or moisture, stay sharper for longer than steel, and crucially don't impart any metallic taste to your food. For a grinder used daily with salt and aromatic spices, ceramic is the better long-term material choice.

How do I clean it?

Do not submerge in water — the electric mechanism must stay dry. To clean, empty the chamber, run it briefly to clear residual spice, then wipe the exterior with a dry cloth. For the interior, use a small dry brush (like a clean pastry brush) to dislodge any stuck particles. Do not put in the dishwasher.
